Welcome to my website...my name is Malibu and I am a purebred female Miniature Schnauzer born on October 20th 2003. My Sire (father) and Dam (mother) are both award winning "Show Dogs" and so I am very proud to boast about my excellent pedigree. I was adopted by Mary & Paul Ouellette on January 6th 2004, and was given my name because Malibu Rum is made at Hiram Walker's Distillery in Windsor, where my Mom works. Since rum is very popular in the Caribbean, where it's sunny and warm, & we'll be sailing down there in the future, my parents thought it would be a good idea to name me after the famous drink that my Mom helps to make. Although our family goal is to travel, for now I'm content to stay at home or take shorter trips with my parents in our sailboat or with our Airstream trailer. Like most Miniature Schnauzers, I have a lot of personality,
My favorite activities are going "auto bye bye", taking Dad for walks, getting treats doing my doggie tricks and keeping our property free of enemy cats and those nasty squirrels. Mom is always telling me I'm a good dog despite her having to clean nose prints off the windows & sliding door where I stand guard duty, watching for intruders. For those dog owners who are also sailors like me, our sailboat is located at the City of Windsor Marina & if you decide to drop over for a visit, please keep in mind I could be on guard duty and won't realize you're friendly unless Mom or Dad tell me not to be concerned about your intentions.... ;) As we will be updating my website as time goes along, drop back in for another visit sometime. |
